Have you heard of Kiwi Crate? It is a monthly subscription for kid crafts. Each month you get a box of crafty goodness. When ours came the kids were immediately begging to get started. And I'm ashamed to admit, I put them off. First excuse, I wanted it to be light outside so I could take pictures, ha! But secondly, I thought it would take a lot of parental involvement, and I wasn't in the mood at the moment. I probably shouldn't admit that. And then things got busy and we literally did not have free time. (when it was light outside:))
But this Sunday was a rainy afternoon, we had no where to be...and I grabbed the box. The kids were ecstatic. I'm glad I saved it for a day we had time and weren't rushed through it.
It is all neatly packed in this cute little box...
And look at the instructions! They have the cutest illustrations and are super simple and easy to follow. My greatest surprise was that once I got the kids started...they didn't NEED me. The crafts entertained my kids (ages 10, 6, and 4) for seriously a couple hours. I popped in and admired, but they ran the show.
And there were enough supplies to go around, no fighting, yay!!
There were two activities in the box....Penguin Bowling and Aurora Postcards, using watercolors and oil pastels!
They didn't really follow the 'instructions' on the postcards...but hey, there are no rules in art, right?!!
Are you looking for a great gift for a busy family? I've found it. I know my kids would love it. Who doesn't love getting craft supplies in the mail?:)
Take a look at the KiwiCrate website. They even have craft kits you can buy for parties. I believe the kits are $19.95 a month and then you can add on extra for siblings. I think ours was for 2 kids, and was plenty of supplies for my 3. I am super impressed and know my kids were too! Thanks KiwiCrate for letting us give it a try!
Here's the BEST news...you still have four days to order & have a box in their hands for Christmas!
