Let me start out by saying, Running Sucks. I've always hated running, even when I was in the best shape of my life swimming miles a day. Running hurts. So why the hell am I doing it, you ask? Who knows!
I started running last year when it became too much of a hassle to go to the gym. I wasn't loving the classes, the drive, any of it. I loved my gym in New Mexico, and this just wasn't measuring up. So I got the bright idea to start running. I can do it anytime, anywhere. This summer I started swimming because it was too dang hot to run. But this fall I got to running again. Just for exercise. That's it. And then my SIL had a baby. And had the bright idea that we should run the The Woodlands Half-Marathon this March. She must have caught me in a weak moment because I said yes.
Well, now it's time to start piling on those miles. My max so far has been 7 miles. I've got about 8 weeks to almost double that. Oh the joy. Lindsey, I hope you are happy...we could still do that 2K Fun Run, ha!
On another note, I've discovered that there are some really cute running clothes.:)
